Hi Josie. I think you did a good job on this Second Review. However, I think you some of your pictures are a bit too dark. Maybe try a different aperture? I like your 9th picture very much. The bright fruits/vegetables add a very nice colorful touch to this picture. I like to see the light reflecting on them, and it brings our attention directly to them. I also like the 8th photo with the purple lights. The angle from where you took the picture is interesting too, seeing the woman from the back. It makes me wonder what she’s thinking. For the 11th picture, I personally like it very much. The photo is bright, sharp, and is very colorful. I also like the angle, and the different lights is interesting. The 12th picture is good as well. Again, I like the angle and seeing the woman walking up the staircase with this big window in the background. However, the bright light coming out of the window is kind of distracting. Also, the bottom of the foot is cut, it isn’t totally in the frame. But to me, it still looks good. Finally, I like your 13th picture. The light colored jacket and the bright red Chinese New Year decoration on the door really stands out of the dark room and make us focus on them. But, you have some negative space with the empty wall on the left of your picture. Maybe you could try to take the picture vertically next time? Then, I really like the subject you chose for your essay. We follow this woman in her daily routine but we almost always see her from the back. I think it makes her more mysterious and it makes your essay almost psychological. Try to make new pictures with more light to make the colors in your pictures stand out more. Good job on that, and good luck for your final sequence!
